Fort Lewis College – AIBL

April 11th, 2012

We are the American Indian Business Leaders (AIBL).
AIBL is a non-profit organization dedicated to the learning of tribal economics
and developing leaders who are capable of creating economic development for
tribal nations. The AIBL organization welcomes all students regardless of race,
age, and major. We are the Fort Lewis College Chapter of the AIBL organization
and among the most recognized of all AIBL chapters.

Throughout the year we work on community service
projects, funraising and National competition.

Our community service projects include multiple
tasks such as raking yards, winterizing houses and tutoring high school
students.

Our fundraising projects include food sales, gift
sales and grant writing. The fundraising is used for funding our trip to the
AIBL National Conference.

The national competition, we complete a business
plan made up of our idea using our classroom teachings, and presenting the
business plan at a national site that is determined by the national AIBL
organization. We also compete in a Chapter of the Year competition that
highlights all of our activities for the year.
