Critical Thinking?

To define what critical thinking really is I separated the phrase into two words. Critical is to find the faults and or problems within. By being critical you are picking apart and analyzing what is in front of you. With thinking you are turning on your brain and taking what you have pulled out and forming the information into your own ideas to fully understand the context. Critical thinking is a way of understanding. You take what is given to you, you take what you know, and then you make something completely different. Half the battle is understanding. The second half is applying it to yourself like Taylor comment during our discussion. After the discussion many students summarized the event. Understanding does not come from summarizing. It comes from putting everything into your own words and taking something away from it all.
