Authoring Your Life by Magolda is full of front of the line experiences with finding inner voice. I think it is a wonderful book and a great example of research and observation.  The characters also demonstrate detailed critical thinking as they progress through each interview.

Critical Thought Process

For the COMP 250 research project I will be using a step-by-step process for critical thinking. I will begin by questioning everything about my topic and will prepare to write in a conscience-engaged state of mind. Then I will follow the process of 1) summarizing 2) posing questions 3) creating an argument. This will create an outline of the critical thinking used to break down and solve a problem. The paper will naturally progress as one set of information leads to the next and generates new ideas. Together the segments will demonstrate clear command over the sources used, ability to make connections and pose new ideas, and use of information to support original ideas.
