The Leftovers Expand their Horizons

As April is quickly approaching The Leftovers are hard at work on this year’s Earth Day celebration. Planning for the celebration, to take place in front of the student union building on April 22, 2011, the all day event will have food, fun, music and an open mic and much more in-store. The event is one inspired by the entire EC and spearheaded by this trifecta of teams. In other news the sustainable business lunch and learns have been gathering momentum. Most recently an inspiring talk from Desert Sun Coffee made sustainable business headlines. Upcoming is Durango Natural Foods.  Perhaps one of the most exciting things to come across the plate of The Leftovers is Powershift 2011. The Leftovers will be represented by team members Alex Pullen and David Haralson. These students will attend a four day conference in Washington DC to learn about policies and how to be the change they wish to see in the world.
