Welcome to my research project turned blog. Everything in this blog came from the research on the ways Native American Tradition can help American Indian combat veterans find relief from their Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). By researching this, the focus is on how the brain chemical Oxytocin plays the potential role of that relief that combat veterans need. Each page shows the information that was gathered to back all this up. Have a look at each of the tabs and get the gist of it all.

Here is the final paper if you would like to take a look at it.

Here are two videos that I think are good examples of what combat veterans go through once they have come back home from war. When I first saw these videos they really made me understand how difficult it is for them to go back to normal once they have finished their time. Through these videos I understood why I wanted to do something to help them in the best way I can and I guess that is why I am where I am right now. Although the veterans in these two videos are not American Indians I still think these videos are important to seeing the hardships combat veterans go through. (Viewer Discretion is Advised, in the second video there is a lot of graphic content.)
