information that is hardly useful in daily life.  Without standardized testing, teachers would be able to focus on the individual needs of the students. Teachers are judged on their students test scores. This pressures the teacher into teaching to the test, because of this students are missing out on so many life lessons that can not be tested on a standardized test. In conclusion, standardized testing is rather ironic. Its main goal is to make sure that our nation is up to par with the rest of the world in education, however its holding our students back and preventing them to flourish.
